The 9th Intercontinental Personal Care Excellence Conference (IPCE), organized by SICC, took place on June 30 and July 1 at the Grand Hotel Continental in Pisa.

The conference theme was “Beyond the Future: Science Leading Change,” aiming to explore current and future innovations in the cosmetics sector.

The event bridged the gap between the recent IFSCC Congress in Cannes and the upcoming one in Perth, featuring a program packed with new research and international presentations.

A key highlight was the presence of Abel, an empathetic robot, which demonstrated how new technologies can contribute to research, innovation, and communication within the cosmetics industry.

The conference underscored the trend toward more inclusive, sustainable, and efficient cosmetics, with a particular focus on skin health and consumer well-being.

The scientific program was complemented by cultural activities and networking opportunities. The conference concluded with a look ahead to upcoming IFSCC events and the next edition of the IPCE.

In summary, the event demonstrated that the future of cosmetics will increasingly rely on the integration of science, technology, sustainability, inclusivity, and a focus on skin health and well-being.
