14th Cosmetic Safety Assessor Course
The 13th edition of the Safety Assessor Course has just concluded, to the great satisfaction of both instructors and participants. Preparations are already underway for the 14th edition, which will once again be held at the stunning Hotel 2 Mari, a venue chosen due to its prime location directly overlooking the beautiful Baia del Silenzio in Sestri Levante.
The curriculum will cover technical and scientific topics, including the identification of allergens, CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic for reproduction) substances, and endocrine disruptors. It will also explore safety assessment methods *in vivo*, *in vitro*, and *in silico* and examine how ingredients, manufacturing processes, and packaging influence product safety, whether the product is used by consumers or professionals.
The course will feature practical exercises and group discussions—a well-established component highly valued by participants. It concludes with an examination designed to verify the knowledge acquired, which is essential for a SICC-certified Safety Assessor.
This course is intended not only for individuals who hold the academic degrees required by the Cosmetic Regulation to serve as a Safety Assessor, but also for cosmetologists and entrepreneurs who wish to gain the expertise to prepare formulations that are sufficiently robust in terms of cosmetic safety before submitting them to a Safety Assessor.
